About Us

My name is Marlene Poniente. I have 3 amazing children (Eterniti, Cianna, and Eric). We are strong in Faith, I am a recent cancer survivor, and I love coffee.

My desire to taste great coffee started out several years ago, as I would visit my local coffee shops. Growing up I was surrounded by many coffee drinkers and realized how it brought family and friends together. As I would visit coffee shops, not only was I content with my product, but it also gave the opportunity to observe people and notice their reaction when taking their first sip. That reaction was a sign of content, peace, and satisfaction. Not only would I notice the customers, but would also notice how most passionate Barista’s would interact with their customers, especially their regulars. This brought me joy and I hoped that someday I would be able to do the same with others. My goal was to bring a sense of family to all those I would encounter. What better way than to own a coffee shop and consider my customers my Family.

After several years of thinking and dreaming, I decided that it was time to open up my coffee shop. In October 2017, after looking at many locations, I found a nice location in San Diego. I proudly became part of the College Area Business District, which I considered my second home.

The College Area Business District is rebuilding and reviving and I wanted to be a part of that. I wanted to stand out as a coffee shop by supporting and giving back to the Community. This gave me the opportunity to follow my dreams and my passion of bringing joy and satisfaction to my customers.

I’ve been so Blessed to have my daughter Eterniti by my side throughout this journey.  Due to her dedication and hard work, we were honored with the College Area Business District “2019 Best Coffee Shop” award.

On November 2019, we decided the best way to explore other communities was to transition into becoming mobile.  Therefore, we closed the storefront located in the College Area.  During this transition phase, we plan to become a vendor at different farmers markets and community events around San Diego County.  Although we have encountered a pause in our mobile plans due to COVID-19.  In the meantime, we are opening our online store, offering whole bean coffee bags, teas, and branded merchandise.

I am excited for the future and I always look forward to seeing the look of ‘satisfaction’ on my customers faces after the first taste of coffee. Offering and serving amazing coffee with our passion will be a win-win for the community and for us.
